stabilization, postural correction and calorie burning...and it's fun.
NUTRITION SERVICES
BODY TYPE ASSESSMENT – * MEMBERS ONLY * HALF-HOUR CONSULTATION
At your initial visit, get your baseline statistics – height, weight,
measurements, body mass index (“BMI”) and body fat percentage. “Check in” once
a month to get updated readings. We’ll keep your chart on hand so you can see
your progress. Session is approx 30 minutes. FREE to all Atlantis members.
One-on-one private session.
DIETARY EVALUATION - 1 HOUR
Sit down with the Nutrition Consultant and take a new look at your
existing diet. Even healthy eaters can benefit by a review of their current
nutritional intake to fine-tune their menus for variety, optimum health and
performance. Find those “sneaky calories” in your eating plan and adjust;
verify your ideal calorie intake; factor in foods that you love by simple,
healthy trade-offs. Session is approx 1 hour. One-on-one private session.
METABOLIC TYPING - 1 HOUR
Do you feel more energetic after a lunch of lean meat on a salad, or
do you thrive on a meal centered on whole grains? That is your “metabolic type”
at work. The Nutrition Consultant will take you through a comprehensive written
questionnaire, tally the results, and give you solid guidelines on how to
adjust your food selections for optimum energy and performance. Session is
approx 1 hour. One-on-one private session.
DIET DESIGN - 1 HOUR
For those who are looking for a customized diet plan. We’ll discuss your
current menu of foods, make adjustments to portions or types of foods, and
factor in a realistic approach to eating, based on your life-style (for
example, those who dine out frequently will get tips on how to manage their
weight goals within their life-style; members with families having diverse
eating preferences will get solid guidelines on “how to please the kids” yet
remain on track with their own objectives). Session is approx 1 hour.
One-on-one private session.
MENU PLANNING - 1 HOUR
If you find yourself “eating the same old thing” and seek meal variety
while staying within your caloric and nutritional intake needs, this session is
for you. We’ll plan a month of menus that will add variety, fun and seasonal
interest to your meal plans. You will receive a month’s worth of menus. Session
is approx 1 hour. One-on-one private session.
NUTRITION FOR GOOD HEALTH - 1 HOUR
We’re all concerned about being exposed to toxic elements that affect us from
both external (environmental) and internal sources (what we eat). Antioxidants
can help combat these “free radicals”. This session provides you with healthy
tips on eating foods rich in antioxidant properties to in turn help enhance
your body’s ability to fight disease and help reduce free radicals from
damaging your body. Session is approx 1 hour. One-on-one private session.
STRESS EATERS WORKSHOP - 1 HOUR
If you reach for food when you’re under pressure and stressed, this session is
for you! Get solid guidelines on how to manage stress eating by derailing the
urge, substituting bad binging with good and keeping calories under control
during high-stress periods. Session is approx 1 hour. One-on-one private
session.
FOLLOW UP SESSIONS - ½ HOUR
These sessions are available to all clients who are on a program based
on any of the 1 hour services and seek ongoing maintenance, updates,
adjustments, counseling and support. One-on-one private sessions.
CHECK-IN – FREE FOR ALL CLIENTS - 10 MINUTES
Once you have completed your session(s) with the Nutrition office and
have a healthy eating program in place, you are eligible for periodic
“check-ins” to be re-measured, weighed and/or obtain an updated Body Fat
Analysis. Check-in schedules may vary in frequency depending on specific goals.
